the standard pre-trip poser shot the group getting ready in the field. The pic doesn't do it justice since you can't see a single cow. I can't remember the dogs name, but he was great to have around and really made me miss Budweiser. I've got to get dog pics for Jeip XJ broken and done for the day with not even five minutes of trail time in. He handled it well, but I would have been pissed. cline on Pastoral Burton on the Bucolic byway Cline on Bucolic byway Phil on Bucolic byway Me on Pete's demise courtesy of Mrs. Cline. thanks for the pictures. Phil at the bottom of Pete's Demise. Phil's carnage from Pete's demise the carnage my skid plate inflicted on a rock on Pete's demise. I almost made it running the hard line, but not quite Phil on Ripple Ridge Cline on Ripple Ridge the group looking up from slip and slide Cline going down Slip and Slide. He was convinced that he could not make this in his stock TJ on 31's, but we talked him into it. I'm glad he tried it because he made it like it was nothing. Good job on that one, Cline! Phil on the trail behind the house Cline on the same trail this is what happens when you think you can substitite throttle for lift. I think it would have worked if it was muddy, but unfortunately it was not. Aw hell, I never actually thought it would work anyway. carnage from about 10 feet further down the trail from using the same throttle>lift theory. I bent back the end of my bumper a little less than one inch. Phil flexing on the OCC trail More Phil Even more Phil and even more Phil flex. Not too bad for a stocker. Me coming down the hill by the house onto the OCC trail another in the series that Phil shot for me another yet another and another here's one more this was where it started to get scary. I wheel my Jeep often, so I am very familar with what it will do and am very in touch with what it is telling me. Here it was telling me that it was thinking about rolling end over end. I'm pretty scared right here, but in a fun way. beauty mark from where Clines Jeep decided to kiss a tree Cline's carnage my flex on the OCC trail more flex Phil trying a line that he bypassed earlier in the day. It really doesn't take much encouragement for him to try the hard stuff once he gets warmed up. A series of shots that Phil took for me of my Jeep on Pastoral way more in the series and more... ...and more... ..and another... ...yet another... ...and even more... switching it up a bit by taking a shot with the camera on it's side the final on in the series and my favorite I have no idea what this trail is called, but it made for some good photo ops. I was trying to climb this rock, but there is a big hole under my right front tire that made it too tippy, even though it looks easy in the pic. Phil on the other side of the rock Cline mastering the rock side view other side front shot this is where I wandered off to pose on another rock. It made for some nice shots, but I cut my tire and damaged my flare getting there and back. one of me posing courtesy of Mrs. Cline. a good shot courtesy of Mrs. Cline more posing even more posing. and more posing. the last of posing on that rock ok, I had forgotten that I took pics of CLine on the rock already, so here are more more Cline and more Cline me on the rock more of me on the rock and more of me on the rock no suprise. more of me on the rock guess where I am? that's right, I'm still on the same rock damn! I took a lot of poser shots. I promise, we did actually do some wheeling. just a shot of the underside of me Jeep to use for future reference the nightime activities of us drunkards parking Jeep on top of Jeep until we had a big pile. I'm sure it's nothing to the hardcore guys, but it was kind of cool. more more don't know the name of this trail, but it's the one leading back to the Sphincter Cline on the same trail me on the easy side of the Sphincter the same spot, but from the front Twiss's girlfriend stuck in his Jeep. She got it off before he noticed. Phil in pretty much the same spot Alan nearing the Sphincter Alan starting the Sphincter the last shot I got of Alan. I kept hitting the button, but didn't get him coming off the rock. He stood the Jeep up on it's nose, lost a spring, had it start to do an endo and drove out of it. It was very impressive. buggy on the same rock another of the buggy the last one of the buggy. I wanted to get a shot of it rolling over, but since it didn't I never got the chance Phil Cool dude and cool Jeep, but I never caught his name just wanted a shot to illustrate how I tie down my trail gear. Since I've got it, I'll post it more of the same what a kiss from a tree will do to a flare. not a bad amount of carnage for the stupid stuff I did for two days

Damn! What a great place this was. It was made even better by Chris and Heather, who are most excellent hosts and understand what a wheeling park should be about.

It was billed as the NOVA Jeepers weekend, but the low turnout from the club sort of made us forget that. Honestly, I did not miss them for a minute. It's not that I didn't want them around, but more that it's so easy to make friends on the trail. Although I have always known it, this weekend was where it really sunk in how someone who was a stranger hours before can become your best friend on the trail to the point where you put not only your safety, but also the safety of your vehicle, in their hands. To anyone who doesn't understand, this is what wheeling is all about.

It was a bit of a picture heavy weekend. While there was a lot of great shots for me to get, Phil took a lot of pictures with my camera because his died. It's easy to get some great pictures when you have your own personal photographer.

Instead of a big, long story, I think I will let the pictures do the talking.

I can't wait until I get a chance to go back.
